The House of Representatives suspends its session until tomorrow, Tuesday.

Benghazi, May 5, 2025 (LANA) – The House of Representatives (HoR) suspended its official session, which was held today, Monday, at its headquarters in Benghazi. The session was chaired by Speaker Aguila Saleh and attended by First Deputy Speaker Fawzi al-Nuwairi, until Tuesday.

HoR spokesman Abdullah Blihaq stated that Speaker Saleh referred to a number of points related to the Libyan file and emphasized international support for the formation of a unified government, adding that forming a government is a priority at this stage.

Blihaq explained that the HoR discussed several issues in its session today, including the presidential decrees issued by the President of the Presidential Council. The HoR decided to assign the HoR's Advisory Committee to prepare a legal response to these decrees. The session was therefore suspended until Tuesday.
