Istanbul, May 2, 2025 (LANA) – Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmed Abu Heisa discussed on Thursday with Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar prospects for cooperation between the two sides in the fields of energy, industry, and mining.

This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of his participation in the Istanbul Natural Resources Summit, attended by a number of officials and specialists from both sides.

The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and activating the signed agreements and memoranda of understanding, which would contribute to supporting sustainable development paths.

The meeting also discussed the importance of natural resources and critical minerals as a fundamental pillar for achieving industrial growth. They also discussed joint investment opportunities in industrial projects, particularly in the mining sector within Libya, and ways to benefit from Turkish expertise in this field.
