A coordination meeting at the Ministry of Defense in preparation for the "Africa Peace 3" exercise in Algeria.

Tripoli, May 2, 2025 (LANA) - A coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity for participants representing the Libyan state in the "Peace Africa 3" field exercise. The exercise will be organized under the supervision of the North African Regional Force and is scheduled to be implemented in Algeria during May.

The Ministry of Defense reported on its Facebook page that the meeting included representatives of the units and entities representing the Libyan state in this exercise, including military and police units, as well as civilian institutions. The meeting aimed to assess the readiness of all participants in this important regional event.

According to the ministry, the meeting was attended by the Head of the National Committees Department at the Ministry of Defense, the Planning Officer, the Training Officer, and representatives of the Executive Secretariat of the North African Regional Capability (NARC), the 80th Special Operations Battalion of the 111th Brigade, which is tasked with representing Libya in the North African Peacekeeping Capability (NARC), the 444th Brigade, the 51st Brigade, the 52nd Brigade, the 53rd Brigade, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the police component of the NARC, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the civilian component of the NARC.

It is worth noting that the "Africa Peace 3" exercise is part of a series of field exercises organized under the auspices of the North African Regional Capability (NARC), a regional mechanism aimed at enhancing cooperation between North African countries in the areas of security and peace.
