Tripoli, May 1, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Thursday, with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mohammed Ali Tamim, who is on an official visit to the capital, Tripoli.
Tamim delivered an official letter to Al-Baour, addressed from the Iraqi President to the Chairman of the Presidential Council, including an invitation to attend the 34th Arab Summit and the 5th Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to be held this May in the capital, Baghdad.
The meeting reviewed the historical relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and advance them towards broader horizons in various fields, emphasizing the importance of coordination and consultation on issues of common interest, in a way that serves the mutual interests of Libya and Iraq.
