Naji Issa discusses with bank managers the Central Bank's plan to provide liquidity.

Tripoli, April 30, 2025 (LANA) - Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Naji Issa, discussed on Wednesday with the directors of major commercial banks their preparations and needs to support the CBL's plan to provide cash liquidity.
This came during a meeting held in the presence of several members of the CBL's Board of Directors, directors of relevant departments, and the General Manager of Muamalat Financial Services Company.
The meeting discussed the efforts of commercial banks to complete the withdrawal of the 50-dinar banknote, as well as enhancing electronic payment services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Naji Issa praised the efforts of bank employees in improving the quality of banking services provided to citizens. He urged them to make further efforts and focus on developing the technical and digital infrastructure for electronic payments and instant payment services, to gradually advance the digital transformation. He also highlighted the readiness of all bank branches to distribute cash starting next week after the completion of the withdrawal of the 50-dinar banknote and the provision of cash from new issues in all branches via windows and ATMs.
