Dabaiba discusses with the Turkish Minister of Trade doubling the volume of trade exchange, stimulating mutual investments, and resuming suspended projects.

Tripoli, April 30, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, discussed on Wednesday with Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat and his accompanying delegation ways to develop economic relations and increase trade volume. They also discussed a number of vital sectors that represent opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister's media office reported that Dabaiba was briefed on the results of the meetings of the Libyan-Turkish Technical Committee currently being held, which addressed economic issues of common priority and interest.

The office explained that the two sides emphasized the importance of stimulating mutual investments and providing the necessary facilities for investors in both countries, including facilitating visa and residency procedures, granting ownership rights, and facilitating financial transfers. This is aimed at creating an investment environment and strengthening the strategic partnership. They also discussed ways to resume a number of projects that have been suspended since 2011, and the need to reactivate them to support economic development efforts.
