Dabaiba mourns Brigadier General Al-Rayani and orders an urgent investigation into his death.

Tripoli, April 27, 2025 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, mourned Brigadier General Ali Ramadan al-Rayani, who "ascended as a martyr defending the sanctity of his home and family against a treacherous criminal group."

In a post published by his media office, Dabaiba directed the Military Public Prosecution to open an urgent and comprehensive investigation to uncover the circumstances of the "heinous crime," determine who was behind it, and the motive behind it. He offered his condolences to the family and comrades of the deceased.

A heinous crime rocked the Khallet al-Farjan area, south of Tripoli, at dawn today, following the killing of Brigadier General Ali al-Rayani, a missile engineering officer, in an armed attack on his home. An exchange of fire resulted in his death and the deaths of the three attackers.
