Benghazi, April 23, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Interior in the parliament-appointed government, Major General Essam Abu Zriba, discussed today with the Director of Security in Sabha, Major General Khaled Al-Basta, ways of cooperation and coordination to limit the flow of irregular migrants.

The meeting also reviewed the security situation in the city of Sabha and the southwestern regions, and ways to enhance coordination between the directorate, the Joint Security Room, the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, and the armed forces to limit the flow of illegal migrants into the country.

According to a publication by the Ministry's Security Media Office, the meeting addressed the necessary measures to improve security performance and support the directorate with basic needs.

Major General Abu Zriba affirmed that the Ministry of Interior attaches great importance to supporting all security directorates in the south, noting that the next phase will witness more intensive security measures to enhance readiness and raise security efficiency in these vital areas.
