Tripoli, April 20, 2025 (LANA) – Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ibrahim Al-Dabaiba, and a number of Libyan army leaders met on Sunday with US Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland, Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, and US military officials.
The Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity stated that the meeting discussed the progress of military and security cooperation between the two countries, and ways to advance and increase the scope of cooperation, particularly in the field of training and some common issues, such as combating terrorism and illegal immigration.
