Tripoli, April 14, 2025 (LANA) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives received the draft unified general budget law for the fiscal year 2025 during his meeting today with the Prime Minister-designate of the Parliament.

The Speaker's Media Center reported that the draft unified general budget law for all of Libya for the current year 2025 was received during the meeting held between them in the city of Al-Qubbah. This was in preparation for its presentation to the members of the House for discussion in the presence of members of the Central Bank of Libya.

According to the Media Center, the unified general budget for this year amounted to (174,123,518,700 Libyan Dinars) one hundred and seventy-four billion, one hundred and twenty-three million, five hundred and eighteen thousand, seven hundred Libyan Dinars. This amount is intended to cover public expenditures in all sectors of the Libyan state without exception. This enhances the principle of transparency in public spending and its rationalization, and provides a framework for the Central Bank of Libya not to spend outside the framework of financial legislation.
