Tripoli, April 14, 2025 (LANA) – Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, discussed government spending mechanisms on Monday with Stephanie Koury, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya.

The government's media office reported that the meeting, held at the Cabinet Office and attended by Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, "emphasized the importance of strengthening the principles of transparency and disclosure, particularly with regard to the issue of public spending."

According to the office, both sides stressed the need to ensure the optimal use of financial resources to enhance the efficiency of government work and ensure the achievement of sustainable development.
