Al-Jufra, April 14, 2025 (Lana)— Desert patrols of the Security and Security Operations Directorates, Internal Security, and Oil Facilities Security, accompanied by a team from the Search and Identification of Missing Persons Authority, found the remains of 4 people, consisting of skeletons, buried and scattered in the sand in the Taqrift area, located near Zalla.
The Security Media Office of the Al-Jufra Security Directorate stated that an investigation was opened into the incident, in conjunction with the Public Prosecution, to uncover further details.
The investigation followed information and data received by the Al-Jufra Internal Security Branch about the presence of human remains in the desert.
The office explained that the search team did not find any documents or personal belongings that would help identify the bodies.
The investigations are still in their early stages, and the Authority will conduct DNA analysis to determine the identities of these skeletons.
