The head of the National Oil Corporation discusses developing cooperation with Eni in Italy.

Ravenna, April 9, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, met yesterday, Tuesday, with the CEO of the Italian energy company Eni, Claudio Descalzi, on the sidelines of the OMC Med Energy conference and exhibition held in Ravenna, Italy.
The meeting took place at the Eni pavilion at the conference's accompanying exhibition, where ways to enhance and expand cooperation and partnership between the NOC and Eni were discussed, in light of the strong bilateral relations between the two parties in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
During the meeting, NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman stressed the importance of close cooperation with Eni, noting the role of these partnerships in developing the Libyan oil sector and achieving further achievements in production and technological development. The importance of innovation and exchange of expertise between the two parties was also emphasized, with the aim of supporting future energy projects in Libya, which would contribute to enhancing the long-term sustainability of the Libyan oil and gas sector.
Suleiman emphasized Eni's vital role in developing and modernizing energy technologies in Libya, affirming that the ongoing cooperation between the two parties will contribute to opening new horizons in the Libyan energy sector.
OMC Med Energy is one of the most prominent international events in the energy sector, with the participation of more than 400 companies from 27 countries worldwide. The conference serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise between global and regional companies in the energy sector, bringing together experts and specialists to discuss the latest trends and technologies in the fields of oil, gas, and renewable energy.
On the sidelines of the conference, a delegation from the National Oil Corporation (NOC), headed by Ahmed Ammar, a member of the Board of Directors, participated in the accompanying exhibition, where detailed presentations were presented on the activities of the Corporation and its subsidiaries. The NOC's achievements in the Libyan oil sector were also highlighted, including oil field development projects, infrastructure improvements, and renewable energy projects.
