Tripoli, April 9, 2025 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, on Wednesday reviewed the General Electricity Company's plan and preparations for the summer of 2025 and ensuring the stability of the electricity grid.

This came during a meeting held by Dabaiba with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, in the presence of the Director General of Production and the Director of the Strategic Planning Department.

During the meeting, the periodic maintenance plan and technical overhauls were discussed, and their implementation within the specified schedules was emphasized. The progress of the new stations was also monitored and their entry into service according to the scheduled schedule, with the aim of enhancing production capacity and improving the efficiency of the grid.

The Minister of Transportation attended the meeting, in his capacity as the Prime Minister's financial advisor. The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining the grid's stability without interruption for the third consecutive year, to meet citizens' needs during peak months.
