Meeting between the General Authority for Communications and Informatics and the Libyan Post Company.

Tripoli - April 8, 2025 (LANA) - The expanded meeting held yesterday, Monday, between the Chairman of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Post Company, Sami Al-Sayeh Al-Ghaziwi, in the presence of the Director of the Office of International Relations and Cooperation at the Libyan Post Company, discussed enhancing institutional cooperation between the Authority and the Company.
The Ministry of Communications and Informatics stated that the meeting discussed a number of common issues, most notably: strengthening institutional cooperation between the Authority and the Company within the framework of the regulatory relationship between the two parties. The meeting also discussed mechanisms for joint coordination regarding Libya's representation in international postal organizations, particularly the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the Euro-Mediterranean Postal Union (PUMed), of which the Libyan Post Company is an active member.
Also added, that this meeting comes as part of the two parties' efforts to unify visions and positions in international forums, and to work to raise Libya's status in the global postal sector, and to strengthen the regulatory and operational framework for postal services in line with international standards and best practices.
