Tripoli, April 2, 2025 (LANA) - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hanna Tetteh, discussed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Egyptian Embassy, Tamer El-Hefny, the ongoing work of the Advisory Committee recently established by the UN Support Mission in Libya.
The mission explained that the meeting took place yesterday, Tuesday, during which the two sides exchanged views on the political and economic situation in Libya.
During the meeting, the UN envoy emphasized that the work of the Advisory Committee requires support from the Libyan parties and international partners, which contributes to creating the appropriate conditions for holding elections.
The two parties stressed the importance of maintaining stability and effective economic management of Libya's resources.
