Coinciding with International Women's Day: The UN mission launches the "Libyan Women's Platform"

Tripoli, March 30, 2025 (LANA) – Coinciding with International Women's Day, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) launched the "Libyan Women's Platform" on Facebook, a private group managed by a UNSMIL team.

According to the mission, the platform aims to enhance the role of women in various fields, support their rights, provide a space for their participation in the political process and its various tracks, and facilitate dialogue and exchange of views on the challenges facing women in Libya and possible solutions, while fully adhering to Libyan values, culture, and principles, as well as local and international legislation related to women's rights.
