Tunis, March 28, 2025 (LANA) - The US Chargé d'Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Brent, discussed with the UN Envoy to Libya, Hannah Tetteh, ways to advance the political process and help Libyans overcome divisions.

During a meeting in Tunis, the two sides stressed the importance of taking concrete steps to enhance economic stability and support prosperity in Libya, including supporting Libyan technocratic institutions to ensure effective and sustainable performance.

The meeting also addressed the recent statement by the UN Mission on arbitrary arrests and detentions in Libya, and discussed efforts to address these issues and promote respect for human rights and the rule of law.
