Shakshak meets with the French Ambassador.

Tripoli - March 28, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mahraj, yesterday, Thursday, the vital role played by the Audit Bureau in promoting transparency in the management of public funds. This is achieved through the annual reports published by the Bureau, which aim to improve the management of public resources and combat corruption.

The Audit Bureau stated that the meeting addressed the possibility of opening up avenues for cooperation between the Audit Bureau and the French Court of Auditors, with the aim of exchanging expertise and strengthening oversight capacities, particularly in the field of developing advanced oversight methods and techniques.

During the meeting with the French Ambassador, Shakshak stressed the importance of ongoing oversight work to ensure the fair use of public funds.

For his part, the French Ambassador expressed his country's continued support for the Audit Bureau's efforts to promote transparency, emphasizing the importance of cooperation to address current challenges in Libya and promote good governance.
