Al-Menfi calls the Somali president after surviving an assassination attempt.

Tripoli, March 27, 2025 (LANA) - Chairman of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, made a phone call to Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday evening to check on his safety following the terrorist attack that targeted him, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of people.
According to a statement from the Presidential Council's media office, Al-Menfi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and the Somali people, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, and affirming Libya's solidarity with Somalia.
The Chairman of the Presidential Council also condemned "these criminal acts," expressing his "rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to destabilize security and stability and contravene international law."
For his part, the Somali President expressed his thanks to Al-Menfi and his appreciation for his sincere fraternal feelings toward Somalia and its people.
