Al-Baour and Mahraj discuss arrangements for holding the Libyan-French Economic Forum next April.

Tripoli, March 25, 2025 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, discussed on Tuesday with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mahraj, ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the meeting emphasized the importance of the bilateral partnership to serve the common interests of Libya and France. The meeting also discussed mechanisms for joint coordination to support stability in Libya and strengthen bilateral relations in various political and economic fields.

The ministry added that the meeting discussed the situation in Gaza, and the two sides exchanged views on developments in the region. Additionally, arrangements for holding the Libyan-French Economic Forum, scheduled for next April in the capital, Tripoli, were also discussed. This forum will constitute an important step towards strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The ministry indicated that this meeting comes within the framework of strengthening international cooperation and emphasizing Libya's prominent role in achieving stability in the region.
