Tunis, March 25, 2025 (LANA) - Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Nafti reiterated his country's commitment to continuing to support the United Nations' efforts in Libya and its contribution to promoting dialogue, consensus, and reconciliation efforts in Libya.

This came during his meeting with the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya (SRSG), Hanna Tetteh, according to a statement published by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website.

He also affirmed Tunisia's continued support for the UN Mission's efforts in Libya to reach a permanent, inter-Libyan political solution, enabling this brotherly country to regain its security and stability and strengthening the bonds of peace and development in the region.

For her part, UN Envoy Hanna Tetteh reviewed the mission's plan in Libya, appreciating Tunisia's continued support for the UN mediation in Libya, its cooperation, and its support for the efforts of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), and its provision of all necessary facilities to facilitate the mission's performance.

She also commended our country's balanced and constructive stances regarding the situation in Libya and its role in supporting dialogue, consensus, and reconciliation efforts among our Libyan brothers.
