Al-Baour discusses with the Sudanese ambassador strengthening relations between the two countries and the situation of the Sudanese community in Libya.

Tripoli, March 24, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, discussed on Monday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Libya, Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to advance them.

The Sudanese Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the State of Libya and the Government of National Unity for their efforts in supporting the Libyan community and providing them with the necessary facilities. Mechanisms of cooperation with the Sudanese side were also discussed to identify members of the community and regulate their status, in addition to ways to facilitate their return to their homeland.

During the discussions, the two sides emphasized the deep historical ties that unite Libya and Sudan and the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields. They also discussed regional developments of common interest and ways to coordinate regarding them.

This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening diplomatic communication, serving the common national interests of the two brotherly countries.
