Tripoli, March 23, 2025 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity congratulated the General Secretariat of the Arab League and its member states on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the League's founding.

In a statement marking the occasion, the Ministry emphasized the importance of advancing joint Arab action and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among member states with the aim of achieving prosperity and progress for the peoples of the Arab nation and elevating it to the high status it deserves among the nations and peoples of the world.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of consolidating Arab solidarity and strengthening joint Arab action by developing the League's working mechanisms in a manner that responds to the regional and international challenges facing the Arab region and the world at large.

The statement called for strengthening the Arab League's capabilities to confront these challenges by unifying Arab visions and positions on them and contributing to increasing its ability to defend just Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for building strategic partnerships to enhance its international standing in achieving growth, prosperity, and advancement for the peoples of the region and ensuring the rights of future generations.
