Two children held captive in an abandoned building in Tripoli freed.

Saturday, March 22, 2025 (LANA) - The Security Directorates Support Service in the regions announced on Friday that it had successfully freed two children who had been held captive inside an abandoned building in the Al-Asfah area of ​​the capital, Tripoli.

The service explained in a statement on Friday that the rescue operation came after receiving information from investigation personnel about the presence of the two children in the building, which had been previously sealed off by the service.

Based on this information, the service's special task force moved to the site, where it was able to free the two children and take the necessary measures to ensure their safety, according to the statement.

The statement from the Security Directorates Support Service in the regions also confirmed that the service would reveal more details about the incident later.
