Dabaiba inspects maintenance work on the facades of downtown Tripoli.

Tripoli, March 21, 2025 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, conducted an inspection visit to the Downtown Facade Maintenance Project, part of the "Tripoli Reconstruction" package, which aims to rehabilitate vital areas and enhance the capital's infrastructure.
Dabaiba reviewed the progress of work on 44 buildings along Independence Street. This includes the restoration of damaged facades while preserving the historic architectural character, updating the lighting system with modern designs that enhance the aesthetic appearance of the city center, and maintaining sidewalks to ensure smooth traffic flow and improve the urban environment.
The inspection tour included ongoing maintenance work at the Al-Fajr Corridor building of the Social Security Fund, the Courts Building, the Ministry of Interior Building, the Tax Office Building, the Al-Karama Corridor Building, and the School of Arts and Crafts.
Dabaiba stressed the importance of adhering to the specified timetable for completing the project according to the highest technical and engineering standards, emphasizing the need to coordinate efforts among executive bodies to ensure the completion of work on time.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi; the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi; the Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister's Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea; the Mayor of Central Tripoli; and the Chairman of the Tripoli Development Authority.
This visit comes within the framework of government efforts aimed at rehabilitating the capital's historical and economic areas and enhancing their investment attractiveness, contributing to achieving sustainable development and consolidating its position as a renewed cultural destination.
