Tripoli, March 19, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, discussed bilateral relations during his meeting with the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Libya, Abul Hasanat Khair Al-Basheer. These discussions focused on regulating the migrant labor file and cooperation in combating illegal immigration.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, the two sides also discussed memoranda of understanding for political consultations presented between the two sides, which aim to enhance cooperation in all fields.

Al-Baour stressed that the Government of National Unity attaches great importance to addressing the phenomenon of illegal immigration in cooperation with countries of origin. For his part, the Bangladeshi Ambassador commended all the efforts made by the State of Libya, commending the deportation operations carried out by the government on March 12, 2025, which included dozens of irregular Bangladeshis, as part of the fight against illegal immigration.
