Tunisian vehicles seized at Ras Ajdir port while attempting to smuggle goods from Libya.

Tripoli, March 18, 2025 (LANA) - Patrols from the Law Enforcement Department of the General Directorate of Security Operations of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity seized a number of Tunisian vehicles at the Ras Ajdir border crossing while attempting to smuggle goods and merchandise from Libya, in addition to smuggling fuel through illegal tanks.

The Ministry of Interior stated that legal measures were taken against those involved and they were referred to the competent authorities. The vehicles and seized items were impounded in accordance with applicable laws.

The Ministry affirmed its continued efforts to combat smuggling in all its forms and to take deterrent measures to protect the national economy and enhance public security.
