Dabaiba reviews preparations for the National Oil Corporation's public bidding rounds in Istanbul and China.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, March 18, 2025 (WAL) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, met on Monday with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman.
During the meeting, the NOC Chairman reviewed the results of the public bidding round held in Houston, USA, which saw broad participation from international companies, reflecting the growing confidence in the Libyan oil sector.
The meeting also addressed the ongoing preparations for holding new bidding rounds in Istanbul and China in the coming months, with the aim of expanding the base of international partnerships and attracting modern technology to boost production.
The meeting also discussed the NOC's development and operating budget for 2025, discussing the financing needs necessary to increase production efficiency and achieve sustainability in operations.
Dabaiba directed the NOC to provide detailed disclosure of the financial allocations for the exceptional budget granted to the sector over the past years, and to ensure that they are used to serve the development of oil infrastructure and enhance production.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the President, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, and Chairman of the Economic Development Board, Mahmoud Al-Futaisi.
