Tripoli, March 18, 2025 (LANA) – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said on Tuesday that the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, held a productive call yesterday with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, Jeremy Berndt, focusing on the outcomes of her recent meetings with Libyan officials and international actors and the next steps in the political process, including the economic track as a key element for ensuring progress.
The mission added that the Special Representative emphasized the importance of cohesive international support to advance the transition process in Libya while maintaining stability, while Berndt reiterated the United States' support for the efforts of the mission and the Special Representative.
