Iraqi-Russian talks on the latest developments related to the Libyan issue

Tripoli, March 12, 2025 (LANA) - The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aghanin, views on developments related to the Libyan issue at various levels.

The meeting, held at the Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow, in addition to regional developments of mutual interest.

The two sides emphasized the importance of diplomatic coordination and cooperation between the two embassies in Tripoli, in light of the historical relations between Iraq and Russia.

Al-Sahhaf emphasized Iraq's supportive position for dialogue and cooperation between countries, considering them a fundamental pillar for enhancing regional and international security and stability.
