Al-Baour affirms Libya's steadfast support for Palestine during meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister in Cairo

Cairo, March 4, 2025 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meetings for the emergency Arab Summit scheduled in Cairo today, Tuesday, with the Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Mustafa.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories were discussed, with a focus on the difficult humanitarian situation experienced by the Palestinian people as a result of the ongoing war, and the emphasis on the importance of providing urgent humanitarian aid, in addition to following up on the ongoing support from the State of Libya, which includes sending medical convoys and a field hospital to the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, Al-Baour reiterated Libya's steadfast support for Palestine, stressing his country's rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their lands and homes.
For his part, Mohammed Mustafa expressed his deep appreciation for the State of Libya's supportive and continuous position towards Palestine, pointing out the importance of continuous coordination between the two countries at the regional and international levels to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and support them in facing current challenges, including a ceasefire and reconstruction efforts.
