Tripoli, 4 March 2025 (Lana): Libya and Tunisia reiterated the importance of Arab solidarity to support the brotherly Palestinian people in order to establish their independent state and to reject any attempts at forced displacement.

This came during a meeting between the GNU Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, and the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Al-Nafzi, on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meetings for the emergency Arab Summit scheduled for today in Cairo.

The meeting discussed prospects for strengthening fraternal relations and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in various areas in order to achieve common interests, and consultations were also held on the political situation, as well as the two ministers reviewing the latest regional and international developments, most notably the developments in the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official page, the two ministers stressed the need to intensify efforts to achieve the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
