NOC follows up training programs in the oil sector.

Tripoli, 2 March 2025 (Lana) Director of the General Department of Training at the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mohammed Bishr, followed up with the directors and training coordinators in the oil companies, the internal and external training plans and programs, and worked to find solutions to the challenges that hinder the implementation of these programs.
Bishr stressed during the meeting the interest of the NOC's administration in developing training programs and enhancing their effectiveness, whether inside or outside Libya, stressing the need to focus on capacity building for its direct impact on improving performance and increasing productivity in the oil sector.
Bishr revealed the Corporation's approval of the accumulated external training programs from 2012 to 2021 despite the financial challenges, noting that work on implementing the remaining training plans will resume soon with the support of the Board of Directors, calling on training officials in companies to adopt quality standards to ensure the implementation of effective training programs that achieve real value for trainees and companies.
The meeting discussed several topics, including the adoption of a unified regulation for training in the sector in line with current changes, addressing the challenges faced by trainees abroad such as difficulty in obtaining visas, facilitating logistical procedures, in addition to reviewing the value of financial grants to keep pace with the rise in the living wage, and finding solutions to the problem of paying financial dues to training entities.
The attendees agreed on the need to select accredited training entities with a global classification to ensure achieving the highest levels of quality and benefiting from training programs in developing cadres in the oil sector.
