Tripoli, February 25, 2025 (LANA) - The Attorney General's Office revealed today, Tuesday, the details of the shooting incident of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Adel Jumaa, which occurred while he was passing through the Second Ring Road in the city of Tripoli on February 12.

The office explained in a press statement that after conducting initial investigations, it was possible to prove the elements of the incident and the surrounding circumstances, and the identity of the perpetrator of the crime was determined, who turned out to have left the country for Tunisia after committing the crime.

The Attorney General's Office indicated that all legal measures have been taken to pursue the suspect through international cooperation mechanisms, stressing the importance of following up on investigations with those involved in the incident and arresting them.

The Public Prosecution confirmed the continuation of investigations to achieve justice, and taking all necessary legal measures to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
