Tripoli, February 24, 2025 (LANA) - Deputy of the Presidential Council "Abdullah Al-Lafi" discussed during his meeting today with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya "Hanna Tetteh", the latest developments in the political process in Libya and the steps achieved by the Presidential Council in the national reconciliation file.

"Al-Lafi" stressed during the meeting the Presidential Council's support for the efforts of the United Nations mission in bringing the views of all Libyan parties closer together, according to what the Council posted on its official Facebook page.

He also stressed the importance of the role of the Advisory Committee in supporting the dialogue process and contributing to developing a consensus vision that addresses the controversial issues between the main parties, which contributes to achieving stability and reaching a comprehensive national consensus.

For her part, "Tetteh" stressed the efforts of the United Nations to find a solution to the political crisis and restore stability and peace to Libya, noting the importance of agreeing on a clear political process that contributes to addressing the outstanding issues between the various parties, which ensures the success of the democratic path and enhances the opportunities for national consensus, and its support for the steps achieved in the national reconciliation project.
