Al-Sayfaw announces granting Palestinian students free study seats, and treating Palestinian students the same as Libyan students

Tripoli, February 24, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Technical and Vocational Education in the Government of National Unity, "Yakhlef Al-Sayfaw", announced granting Palestinian students free study seats, and treating Palestinian students as Libyan students in all administrative, financial and educational procedures, in solidarity with the Palestinian Arab people.

This came during his meeting today, Monday, with the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic University of Gaza and its representative abroad, "Kamalin Kamel Shaath" and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Endowment for Education in Turkey, in the presence of the Undersecretaries of the Ministry for Diwan and Development Affairs, Dr. Al-Farjani Ahmed, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Higher Technical Colleges and Institutes Affairs, Dr. Taher bin Taher.

The meeting, which was attended by the Director of the Technical Colleges Administration, Dr. Ali Al-Sayeh, discussed ways of cooperation and coordination in the technical and vocational education sector, the mechanism for accepting Palestinian students, and the exchange of scientific, technical and academic expertise between the two countries, especially publishing and presenting their scientific research in technical laboratories and technical workshops.

During the meeting, Al-Sayfaw stressed the support and solidarity of the National Unity Government for the Palestinian people to achieve the full rights of the Palestinians, and emphasized the justice of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their state on all Palestinian lands, stressing the enhancement of prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides, continuing efforts to build and develop technical and vocational education institutions, and meeting the needs of specializations that meet development requirements and provide both societies with qualified graduates with high-quality technical, academic and scientific preparation.
