Ministry of Health and the EU discuss joint cooperation.

Tripoli, 24 February 2025 (Lana) Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu-Janah, received the EU Ambassador in Libya, Nicola Orlando, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli.
The minister welcomed the ambassador and commended the fruitful and continued cooperation with the EU in supporting the health sector in Libya.
The meeting reviewed the aspects of cooperation between the ministry and the EU in the areas of enhancing migrants health, public health, and improving primary health care services in Libya.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation to improve communication and coordination between the EU Mission in Libya and the health sector, regarding strengthening cross-border disease surveillance systems to prevent and combat the spread of epidemics.
