Al-Mnifi receives the new UN envoy to Libya.

Tripoli, February 22, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Mnifi, received this evening, Saturday, in Tripoli, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, and her deputies, Stephanie Khoury, and Anis Tchouma, and the accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Mnifi welcomed the new envoy, Tetteh, expressing his aspiration for continued cooperation and joint work with the United Nations Mission in Libya, according to the media office of the President of the Council.
According to the media office, Tetteh listened to the vision of the President of the Presidential Council regarding the way out of the political impasse, and the importance of Libyan ownership of the political process, in cooperation with all parties with the aim of reaching a unified vision that achieves the aspirations of the Libyan people and ends with the holding of general elections, while giving the issue of state-building the priority and importance it requires in order to ensure the implementation of the outcomes of the comprehensive political process. During the meeting, they discussed continuing cooperation with the African Union and regional and international partners, and working to stop negative interventions that affect the Libyan political scene and hinder stability in various parts of the country.
