HoR renews its position in support of the Palestinian.

Benghazi, February 22, 2025 (LANA) - The Libyan House of Representatives renewed its firm and steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause and its categorical rejection of all attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land and obliterating their national identity.

The council said in a statement today, Saturday, that the ongoing attacks and violations that Palestine is being subjected to, and the statements and plans that are being put forward calling for the displacement of Palestinians, are rejected and condemned in all their forms, and cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

The statement read, "The Palestinian cause is the cause of all Libyans, and it is our first and last cause that will not be compromised or compromised upon. We affirm our commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people in their land and holy sites, and we strongly support any Arab, Islamic or international position that confronts these unjust policies that aim to liquidate the Palestinian presence on their historical land."

The House of Representatives praised the honorable positions of the Arab and Islamic countries, and all free countries around the world that rejected these settlement and displacement plans, calling on the international community to take firm and effective steps to confront these dangers that threaten international security and peace, demanding that the occupation be held accountable for its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Council continued in its statement, "We affirm that we, as representatives of the Libyan people, will make every possible effort to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people by all available means, and we will work to strengthen all initiatives that enshrine their legitimate rights to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital."
