Tripoli, February 20, 2025 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, received today, Thursday, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, on her first official visit to Tripoli since assuming her position.

Al-Baour welcomed the UN envoy, stressing the ministry's readiness to provide all necessary facilities for the success of the mission's tasks.

The two sides also stressed the importance of supporting efforts aimed at holding comprehensive elections that reflect the aspirations of the Libyan people for a stable and democratic future, within the framework of respecting Libya's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
