Richard Norland Reiterates U.S. Support for Libya’s Central Bank’s Independence and Technocratic Integrity

Tripoli, February 18, 2025 (LANA) - The US Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador "Richard Norland", affirmed today, Tuesday, his country's support for the independence of the Central Bank of Libya, its technocratic integrity, and its efforts to improve revenue management with transparency.

This came during his meeting today with the US Chargé d'Affaires "Jeremy Berndt", Governor of the Central Bank of Libya "Naji Issa", according to what "Norland" stated in a tweet published by the US Embassy via its account on X.

During the meeting, "Norland" renewed his country's commitment to partnering with Libya to help it enhance economic stability and prosperity in the long term.
