Tripoli - February 18, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Al-Manfi", reviewed today, Tuesday, at the Council's headquarters, with the US Special Envoy to Libya, "Richard Norland", and the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, "Jeremy Berndt", and the accompanying delegation, the latest political, economic and security developments in Libya.
The media office of the President of the Presidential Council said that the meeting discussed the efforts of the United Nations mission in Libya, the work of the advisory committee, and the practical steps taken to advance the political process to end the transitional stages and maintain sustainable stability, and head to general elections.
He added that the US envoy praised the pivotal role of the Presidential Council in the Libyan issue, through its firm positions that enhance Libya's sovereignty and independence in all regional and international forums.
