Tripoli, February 15, 2025 (LANA) - Libya Post Company organized the third public auction for rare stamps and coins on Thursday in the company's main hall.
The company stated via its Facebook account, that this initiative is a pioneering experience that the company is undergoing, as it witnessed local and international participation, and stamp and rare coin collectors from inside and outside Libya participated in it.
The company added that the auction displayed a variety of rare stamps and coins submitted by the participants, including stamps from Arab countries on various topics, the Kingdom's album for the period 1952-1969, Fezzan envelopes, traveler's envelopes, coins specific to the Libyan state, and some rare coins from other countries.
The auction organizers confirmed that it will be held periodically, in a step aimed at enhancing the culture of postal identity and postage stamps, and consolidating the role of the Libyan Post Company as an incubator for stamp and rare currency collectors.
