Libya participates in the meeting of the Regional Committee of the UN Tourism Organization in Doha.

Doha, 13 February 2025 (Lana) GNU Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Nasreddine Al-Fazzani, participated in the 51st meeting of the Regional Committee of the UN Tourism Organization, which was held in Doha, Qatar.
The meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Organization, the Qatari Minister of Tourism, and the Ministers of Tourism of the member states, addressed several topics, including medical and health tourism, tourism investment, and ways to finance joint regional products in the tourism sector.
The activities of the affiliated members in the Middle East region were also reviewed, in addition to discussing preparations for World Tourism Day.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Fazzani discussed with the Egyptian Minister of Tourism the mechanisms of cooperation between Libya and Egypt in the area of tourism, and ways to enhance joint coordination to benefit from mutual expertise in this vital sector.
