U.S. Embassy joins UNSMIL in condemning the assassination attempt on Jomaa.

Tripoli, 13 February 2025 (Lana) The U.S. Embassy joined UNSMIL in strongly condemning assassination attempt on Minister Adel Jomaa.

The embassy stated on its Twitter today, “We join UNSMIL in strongly condemning today’s assassination attempt on Minister Jomaa and in wishing him a speedy recovery.”

“This type of political violence must have no place in Libya. We call for the perpetrators to be brought to justice,” it said.

“Individuals and entities that engage in acts that threaten the peace, stability, and security of Libya must be held accountable, in accordance with applicable United Nations Security Council resolutions,” it added.
