UN mission condemns assassination attempt on Adel Jumaa and calls for prompt, full and transparent investigation

Tripoli, February 12, 2025 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya condemned the assassination attempt that targeted Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, in Tripoli today.
The mission called in a statement published on its Facebook account for a prompt, full and transparent investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
The mission said in its statement: "There is no justification for the use of violence against government officials or any other civilians," noting that these attacks undermine stability and security in Tripoli and the country as a whole, according to the statement.
