Spanish press delegation visits Lana’s headquarters in Benghazi.

Benghazi, 12 February 2025 (Lana) A Spanish press delegation visited yesterday the headquarters of the Libyan News Agency (Lana) in Benghazi, with the aim of strengthening media cooperation and exchanging expertise between the Libyan press and its Spanish counterpart.
The Director General of Lana, Ibrahim Al-Majbari, briefed the Spanish delegation, which includes journalists and media professionals from various Spanish newspapers, channels, and websites, on the agency's work and its role in addressing and following up on Libyan events and activities and publishing official and professional news through a network of offices and correspondents across Libyan cities and regions in the west, east, and south.
Al-Majbari also discussed with the Spanish delegation the agency's development programs and plans and its efforts to expand its activities by establishing a radio, newspaper, and media platforms, and thus publishing reliable official and professional news and events at home and abroad, noting that among the agency's future programs is opening communication channels and strengthening ties with many international media, including the Spanish ones, and benefiting from their expertise in training the agency's cadres and members, especially the youth.
For his part, Javier Fernandez, a journalist for several Spanish newspapers and news websites, confirmed that the aim of the visit is to know what is happening on the ground in Libya and to monitor the efforts being made by the country to establish security and stability, as well as to accelerate the reconstruction achievements that he witnessed during his visit and to convey the facts accurately and transparently to the Spanish people, thanking the Libyan state for its efforts in rebuilding its country, considering Libya a pivotal state in the region.
