Lana correspondent: A number of illegal migrants were freed from smuggling gangs in Zella.

Zella, 12 February 2025 (Lana) A security force affiliated with Zella Police Station freed (82) illegal migrants, including newborn infants of different nationalities, most of them Ethiopian, with signs of torture and malnutrition.
The Security Media Office of the Jufra Security Directorate said that two smugglers were arrested, and when confronted, they confessed to the torture, humiliation, violation of human rights, and food deprivation for several days.
The Jufra Security Directorate warned all those who dare to engage in human trafficking, drug smuggling, or any negative phenomena that deterrent and harsh legal measures will be taken against them and they will be referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary deterrent laws against them.
