Lieutenant General Al-Haddad inspects the work of the Underwater Research Center inside the Tripoli Naval Base

Tripoli, February 11, 2025 (LANA) - The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General "Mohamed Al-Haddad", conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the work of the Underwater Research Center affiliated with the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, inside the Tripoli Naval Base.
The media office of the Chief of Staff reported that the center's work comes within the project of cleaning the docks and basin of the Tripoli Naval Base from the waste of old ships and disinfecting them, and cleaning the surrounding environment from harmful weeds that cause damage to existing naval vessels.
The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army confirmed that the center and the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces seek, through these works, to train new national capabilities and acquire and transfer expertise in the fields of diving, rescue and dealing with the waste of old ships at sea.
